About

CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER!  SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER!

Founded in the spring of 2010, the Clover Market is a seasonal open-air market featuring 100+ vendors with antiques & collectibles, vintage jewelry & clothing, finely crafted handmade items, and original art.  It operates in the spring and fall (dates below) and in January at the historic 23rd Street Armory in Philly.  Clover has been named a Best Vintage Market by Flea Market Style Magazine, a Best Outdoor Shopping Venue by Main Line Today Magazine and featured in Daily Candy, Philadelphia Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, CityPaper, uwishunu.com and many more.

You can read more about Market founder Janet Long here, view vendor images from prior Markets from Carrie Hill Photography by selecting "Photos" at the top of the page or take a peek at our Market video to get a feel for what Clover is all about.

The Market is open from 10 am - 5 pm, rain or shine.

WHERE ARE THE MARKETS LOCATED?
By Car:
Click here for a map & directions to the Ardmore location (12 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore)
Click here for a map & directions to the Chestnut Hill location (25 W. Highland Ave., Philly)
Click here for a map & directions to the 23rd Street Armory Location (22 S. 23rd Street, Philly)

By Septa Regional Rail:
Both Markets are easily accessible by car or SEPTA Regional Rail.  For Ardmore, take the Paoli/Thorndale (old R5) line to the Ardmore stop. Walk towards Lancaster Ave, turn left (east) and we're about a half block away.  For Chestnut Hill, use any Center City Station (Market East, Suburban or 30th Street Station) and take the Chestnut Hill East or Chestnut Hill West line to the last stop.  For the Armory location, the Market is just steps from 30th Street Station.

WHERE CAN I PARK?
IN ARDMORE:
There are many options for parking in Ardmore including several nearby parking lots (indicated in pink) and street parking.  All parking is FREE on Sundays. There is also a temporary customer parking lot at the corner of Ardmore Ave. and W. Lancaster Ave.; just come to the Clover info table to have your hand stamped so you are not charged on exit from the lot.
IN CHESTNUT HILL:
There are many options for parking in Chestnut Hill including several nearby parking lots (indicated with a "P") and street parking:
*PLEASE be courteous to all of our nearby neighbors and do not block residential or business driveways or park in dedicated (reserved) business lots.*

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
The Clover Market will go on rain or shine.  We will ONLY cancel in conditions which are truly severe and/or life threatening to our sellers and patrons.  In that case we will post a message to the website, Facebook page, and Twitter by 8 AM Sunday morning. Please always check there first before heading out if the weather looks "iffy".

IS THERE FOOD AT THE MARKET?
Yes, we do have food onsite at the Markets from local businesses and food trucks (Chestnut Hill).  You can also explore the many nearby businesses with sit down food options as well.   The food vendors are located in the parking lot behind Rittenhouse Electric, just off Cricket Terrace (for Ardmore) and in the parking lot at O'Reilly and Associates, just off Highland Ave (for Chestnut Hill).

ARE THERE OTHER PLACES TO SHOP NEARBY?
Yes, this is one of the primary reasons the Markets are located where they are!  The Ardmore Initiative's website has information about the stores and restaurants in the business district.  And don't forget the Suburban Square shopping center which is a short walk from the Market.  There are an abundance of high end shops and restaurants in Chestnut Hill as well, most specifically along adjacent Germantown Ave.  You can check out the Chestnut Hill Business Association's website for a complete list of shopping and dining options.

ARE THERE ATM'S NEARBY?
As you'd expect, our sellers mostly prefer cash for your purchases, although many accept credit card payments with portable card readers.  If you need to replenish your cash, there are ATM's within one block of the Ardmore Market going east or west on Lancaster Ave.  For the Chestnut Hill Market, there is an ATM right at the Valley Green Bank at 23 West Highland Avenue.

ARE THERE BATHROOMS ONSITE?
We do have portable toilets onsite at the outdoor Markets or you can  stop by any of the nearby restaurants in both downtown locations for a bite to eat, a coffee, and use of the bathrooms.  The Porta Potties are located behind Bella Italia Pizza in Ardmore (off the main parking lot near Lancaster Ave.) and at the end of the main parking lot in Chesnut Hill.

ARE THERE THINGS FOR MY KIDS TO DO?
Yes!  We always have a free kids' craft and facepainting to keep the little ones happy.  You might also try having your kids do a scavenger hunt (e.g. make a list of 10 items they might find at Clover and think of a small reward) to keep them engaged as you shop.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
We love having four legged friends visit us at Clover in our outdoor locations only (sorry...dogs are not allowed at the Armory).  Please feel free to bring your well-behaved, leashed dogs to enjoy the Market.  The Market can get crowded and somewhat overstimulating (kids! noise! other dogs! lots of stuff!), so if your dog more reserved it might not be the best outing.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE AS A SELLER?
The Market accepts applications from sellers with the following items:

-Antiques and collectibles
-Original art and photography
-High quality artisan crafts and handmade
-New handmade jewelry
-Up-cycled items and architectural salvage

Yes.  All applicants must submit an online application with photos of their work.  Sellers are carefully selected based on product quality, fit with the aesthetic or "look" of the Market, and the overall mix of sellers each season.
